A reputable recruitment agency is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer for SA Projects. This permanent role requires expertise in electrical systems for large/heavy industry projects. Responsibilities include leading design and compliance, managing project lifecycles, and mentoring junior staff. Competitive salary with benefits offered. Electrical Systems Engineer – SA Projects. Permanent role based in South Africa, with local, regional, national and international travel as required for large/heavy industry projects.
Lead electrical system modelling, protection design, fault studies, load flows and grading studies for all projects, ensuring compliance with South African national standards and any customer‑specific standards. Develop, document and maintain designs, specifications, equipment programming and commissioning plans and support technical teams through final acceptance testing and commissioning. Manage project life cycle activities including design definition, budgeting, procurement, manufacturing supervision, testing and hand‑over during FAT, SAT and commissioning. Coordinate project resources, support tendering processes, enforce company policies and maintain high quality, discipline and teamwork. Mentor junior engineers, technicians and trainees and interface with sales, contract pursuit and project management departments to support the company’s strategic plan and business profitability.
Competitive market related basic salary plus medical aid, pension and retention allowance. Start date as soon as possible.
