A leading appliance manufacturer based in Durban is seeking a Lab Technician to assist in the development and testing of cooking and laundry products. The role involves auditing products for safety, endurance, and energy performance, and ensuring compliance with standards. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and a National Diploma in electrical or electronic engineering. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills are also essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of IEC 17025 would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of cooking and laundry products through testing.
• Audit existing and new products, components and prototypes.
• Ensure products meet accepted safety, endurance and energy performance standards.
• Design, develop, build or modify test products/equipment to ensure compliance.
