Job description

EHS & Facilities Administrator

Location: Boksburg

Duration: 6 month contract

As the EHS & Facilities Administrator you will be supporting the effective implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and ensuring smooth day-to-day facilities management within a dynamic warehouse environment handling parts and stock.

You will need to have a strong understanding of occupational health and safety requirements, solid administrative experience, and the ability to support operational compliance across warehouse and facilities functions.

Key Responsibilities
EHS Administration
  • Maintain and update all EHS documentation, records, and statutory compliance files (risk assessments, incident logs, training records, permits, etc.).
  • Support EHS audits, inspections, and ISO 45001 / 14001 compliance activities.
  • Track and close out corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) from audit findings, incidents, and inspections.
  • Coordinate employee EHS training, induction sessions, and maintain competency registers.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly EHS reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
  • Support emergency preparedness initiatives including fire drills, evacuation plans, and equipment checks.
  • Ensure contractor safety files are reviewed, updated, and compliant with company requirements.
Facilities Administration
  • Coordinate day-to-day building and warehouse maintenance activities, including utilities, waste management, and cleaning services.
  • Maintain facilities-related records such as service schedules, and maintenance logs.
  • Liaise with service providers and contractors to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Support management of warehouse safety infrastructure (lighting, access control, signage, firefighting equipment).
  • Monitor and control consumables, maintenance budgets, and facility-related procurement requests.
  • Assist in space planning and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized working environment for all employees.
Requirements
  • National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.
  • SAMTRAC or equivalent Safety Management qualification (required).
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an EHS and / or Facilities Administration role, preferably within a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and South African Occupational Health & Safety Act requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing contractor compliance and maintaining safety files.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and EHS data management systems.
  • Strong administrative, coordination, and reporting abilities.
