Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in the Dry Goods Department, based at Springs.

The successful incumbent will report to the Dry Goods Manager.

Key Performance Areas
  1. Effective and efficient management of dry goods stock
  2. Control and limit stock variances including waste
  3. Manage the Dry Goods store functions to meet targets and continually improve operational methods
  4. Control loading and offloading of contracted transport effectively
  5. Maintain acceptable safety and housekeeping standards in the department
  6. Conduct departmental ICCs (Monthly)
  7. Operational involvement in daily activities
  8. Ensure competent and motivated subordinates
  9. Develop subordinates’ development plans
  10. Implement innovation and business improvements to support operational goals
Candidate Requirements
  1. ND in Logistics, Warehousing, or an equivalent qualification
  2. 3-5 years of experience in controlling/leadership functions within a warehouse environment
  3. Background in stores or warehousing
  4. Experience managing subordinates with strong leadership skills
  5. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP experience is advantageous
  6. Dynamic, energetic, and innovative individual
  7. Analytical and proactive mindset
  8. Effective communication skills with suppliers and internal customers
  9. Knowledge of administrative principles
  10. Understanding of ISO and HACCP systems
