Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking an accomplished and highly skilled Director of Tax and Audit Services to join our leadership team. This fully remote position requires a strong background in tax compliance, financial audits, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of tax strategy, compliance, and audit processes while ensuring adherence to local, federal, and international financial regulations. This role is pivotal in shaping financial integrity and ensuring our organizations long-term fiscal health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the tax and audit function across all business units with a focus on compliance and strategic planning.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor tax strategies that optimize the companys financial performance while ensuring full compliance with legal requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage internal and external audits, including planning, execution, and follow-up on audit findings.
  • Provide expert advice on complex tax and audit matters to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and business teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the business.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of tax and audit professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen compliance and financial reporting.
  • Represent the company in discussions with tax authorities and external auditors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters or CPA/CA preferred).
  • Strong technical expertise in tax regulations, audit practices, and corporate finance.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory standards.
  • Proven ability to manage complex audits and tax-related issues across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting and financial management software.
Experience
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in tax, audit, and finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Prior experience in a corporate tax leadership position within a multinational company or Big 4 audit firm is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing global tax strategies and leading audit functions in a remote environment.
Working Hours
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Flexible working hours with availability for global time zones as needed.
  • Remote role with occasional virtual meetings across different regions.
