Job description
Core purpose of the role

To drive revenue growth and maximize car sales opportunities through strategic utilization of digital channels, leveraging innovative marketing techniques, customer engagement strategies, and data-driven insights to deliver exceptional online purchasing experiences and achieve business objectives.

Key deliverables and outputs
Generating Leads
  • Utilize digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising, to generate leads and promote our automotive products and services.
Converting Leads to Sales
  • Guiding leads through the sales process, from initial contact to purchase, by offering virtual product demonstrations, facilitating test drives, providing pricing and financing options, and overcoming objections to close the sale.
  • Collaborate with operational team members to coordinate follow-up activities, nurture leads, and convert prospects into customers.
Customer Experience
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries, sales leads and requests received through digital channels, including email, live chat, and social media messaging
  • Ensuring that the company's website and digital platforms are user-friendly, informative, and visually appealing to provide customers with a seamless and enjoyable online shopping experience
  • Conduct virtual product demonstrations and presentations to showcase vehicle features, options, and benefits to potential customers
  • Assist online customers with vehicle customization, pricing, financing options, and scheduling test drives or virtual walkarounds
  • Cultivating long-term relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service, maintaining ongoing communication, and offering post-sale support and assistance as needed
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) software and digital sales tools to track leads, manage customer interactions, and report sales performance metrics.
Sales
  • Achieving or exceeding sales targets set by the company by consistently generating revenue through digital sales channels and contributing to overall business growth and profitability.
  • Monitor sales activity sheets daily via the lead management system.
  • Facilitate the sales process from inception to conclusion i.e. B2B and B2C
  • Ensure each customer is introduced to the F&I Business Manager
  • Facilitate the process of vehicle preparation and delivery (Range: reconditioned, test-driven, accessories fitted, dressed, cleaned, and fueled)
Providing Insights and Feedback
  • Offering insights and feedback to internal stakeholders, including marketing, and customer service, based on customer interactions and market trends to inform strategic decision-making and improve digital sales performance and competitor activity.
Staying Updated on Industry Trends
  • Keeping abreast of developments in the automotive industry, digital marketing trends, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and proficiency with digital tools and platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing and IT teams to optimize digital sales processes, improve website functionality, and enhance the online customer experience.
Administration
  • Adhere to all Work Instructions and Policies
  • Ensure all Deal files are fully completed and authorised before delivery as per the procedure.
  • Complete all order requisitions.
  • Assist Admin Controllers with queries when needed.
  • Comply with the stock-acceptance procedure.
  • Conduct weekly stock control as per procedure (Range: spare key, registration documents and vehicles)
  • Manage and control the Vehicle Transfer Contracts (VTCs)
  • Compile and submit a report for commission payment to Finance as per the scheduled deadline.
  • Obtain management authorisation for after-sales support and billing.
Reports
  • Monitor and provide feedback on debtors and stock daily to the Regional Manager
  • Compile and submit CSI customer follow-ups monthly to CRM by the scheduled deadline
  • Prepare, submit, and present monthly branch reports by the scheduled deadline i.e. creditors' age analysis, debtors age analysis, income statement.
Internal & External Stakeholders

The role requires close engagement and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.

Internal Stakeholders

IT, Marketing, Finance, Exco, Car Sales Management team.

External Stakeholders

Service providers.

Academic Qualifications
Essential
  • A National Diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or a Related Field
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Advantageous
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or a related field with a special focus in E-Commerce or digital Marketing.
Work Experience
Essential
  • 2-3 Years’ Sales Experience preferably in an Automotive Industry or Related Field
  • Dealer Management Systems (e.g. Evolve, Seriti etc.)
Advantageous
  • 1 Year Digital Marketing Experience.

Note: Will be required to work on weekends, public holidays and after ordinary working hours.
