Job description
Introduction

To oversee all aspects of our technology infrastructure and operations.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing external service providers, ensuring the company's database and software are up to date, implementing robust IT security and backup protocols, and representing the company in key industry forums like DDEX and CISAC.

The IT Manager will play a critical role in supporting CAPASSO's mission as a Multterritorial digital licensing hub for music and VOD streaming.

This is an opportunity to play on the international music space.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include the following.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • External Service Provider Management
    Oversee and manage relationships with all external IT service providers, including the back‑office processing companies and the email/data storage provider. Negotiate contracts, monitor service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure all providers meet performance and quality standards. Act as the primary point of contact for all technical issues and coordinate solutions between the company and its partners.

  • Database and Software Management
    Manage the company's proprietary database and work with the external development company as needed to ensure its optimal performance and functionality. Stay informed about new software developments and industry trends to recommend and implement upgrades that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth. Ensure all software and systems are regularly updated and patched to maintain security and performance.

  • IT Security and Data Management
    Review, implement, and manage comprehensive IT security policies and procedures to protect company data, including a robust backup and disaster recovery plan. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Oversee the integrity and security of the company's internal data storage.

  • Royalty Processing and Industry Standards
    Collaborate with the back‑office processing provider to ensure the implementation and strict adherence to CISAC rules and standards for royalty distribution, processing, and statement generation. Serve as the company's representative to DDEX, ensuring all data processes and reporting standards are aligned with new industry protocols and guidelines. Advise the executive on the need to invest in such developments in good time.

  • Project and General IT Management
    Lead and manage all IT‑related projects from conception to completion, including system integrations, software rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades. Provide strategic IT guidance to the Executive and other company leadership. Troubleshoot and resolve any day‑to‑day IT issues that arise.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum qualifications, experience, and knowledge: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT management, preferably within the digital media, music, or entertainment industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of database management, network administration, and IT security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Streaming, DDEX and CISAC standards and their application in royalty processing and digital rights management will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent programming, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Experience working in a development team, with external development teams and third‑party service providers.
  • A solid understanding of intellectual property rights and digital licensing.
