Location: Nursing Home – Woodmere, NY (Nassau County)
Pay: $19 per hour
Schedule: Weekly pay; shifts 12:00 PM–8:00 PM or 3:00 PM–8:00 PM

What You’ll Be Doing

Based on similar job postings and standard duties in nursing homes:

  • Assist in the preparation and portioning of meals and snacks, following dietary requirements and meal schedules.
  • Serve meals, deliver trays to residents, ensuring correct meals are given according to diet orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen, dining, and serving areas: wash dishes, clean equipment, sweep/mop floors, clear dining tables, etc.
  • Stock supplies and ingredients; assist in inventory management.
  • Follow all food safety, infection control, and health department guidelines.
  • Assist dietary manager / cooks as needed with meal prep tasks.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working as a Dietary Aide in a nursing home (or similar long-term care / assisted living facility)
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions/special diets is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions, work timely, and with attention to detail
  • Good physical stamina (standing, walking, lifting light to moderate items)
  • Friendly, team-oriented, respectful, caring attitude toward residents and coworkers
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
