A leading data-driven company in South Africa is seeking a Data Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support strategic decision-making. This role involves collaborating with various teams to uncover insights that drive operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience. Candidates should possess a high school diploma, relevant skills in data analysis, and experience in the ICT or insurance sector. Proficiency in Excel is required. This position will be based at the Sandton head office.
Data Analyst
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide valuable insights and support strategic decision-making within the organization. You will collaborate closely with various teams across the company to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities that drive operational efficiency and improve customer experience.
You will report to the Manager: ICT. You will be based within our Information and Communication Technology division at our Sandton, Johannesburg head office.
Data Collection and Processing: Gather and consolidate data from multiple sources, including internal databases, external APIs, and third-party vendors. Cleanse, validate, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Data Analysis and Visualization: Utilize statistical techniques and data mining algorithms to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and priorities. Provide analytical support and insights to assist in the development and implementation of business initiatives and process improvements.

Process champion: Advocating for efficient and effective processes within the ICT team and implementing process enhancements.
Customer champion: Ensuring that ICT solutions and services meet the needs and expectations of customers.
Risk mitigator: Identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities within ICT systems and processes.
Solutioner: Analyzing business requirements and translating them into feasible ICT solutions.
Knowledge manager: Promoting knowledge sharing and best practices within the ICT team.
Relationship builder: Developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors and external partners.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Data Analysis are advantageous.
