Job description

Our client, a dynamic and growing asset manager is looking for an Analyst to support dealmakers, the head of risk and the partners with analysis, report writing and the investment process in general.

Key Responsibilities

• Credit analysis of new opportunities as well as existing restructures
• Financial modelling
• Writing of credit submissions
• Assistance with preparation of monthly risk reports
• Assistance with monitoring and analysis of existing credit exposures
• Monitoring deal implementation and adherence to the investment process from deal approval to pay out
• Completion of calculations/reports as requested by investors from time to time
• Assisting with liaising with investors regarding their requirements, if required
• Attending periodic feedback to investors in respect of fund portfolios

Qualifications

• CA (SA) NON NEGOTIABLE
• Prior experience in a credit / corporate finance environment OR exposure to financial services, corporate finance or asset management clients in audit - if you are coming from a professional firm and have the necessary financial services exposure, financial skills and the ability to learn
• Report writing and financial modelling skills on Excel required
