The Role

We're looking for a Copywriter who can help shape and grow Hawker's voice across digital, social, and retail channels.

You’ll create engaging copy that speaks directly to our audience, from product descriptions and campaign ads to emailers and social captions.

This isn't just about writing; it's about storytelling with swagger.

We need someone who can balance punchy humour, everyday relatability, and brand consistency while working in a fast-moving e-commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging copy for campaigns, social media, product pages, emails, and ads.
• Adapt Hawker's brand voice ("We Gotchu") across all platforms.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product teams to deliver creative concepts.
• Contribute to campaign ideas and brainstorms with the marketing team.
• Research industry and cultural trends to keep Hawker's copy fresh and relevant.
• Proofread and edit content for accuracy, consistency, and tone.
• Manage multiple briefs at once, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of experience in copywriting (agency or in‑house).
• A portfolio that shows range — especially digital and social‑first work.
• Strong grasp of digital marketing basics (social, email, SEO‑friendly writing).
• Ability to write both short, punchy copy and longer‑form storytelling.
• Creative thinker with a good sense of humour and cultural awareness.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Experience in e‑commerce or retail brands is a plus.
