Job summary

A security service provider is seeking a Control Room Operator in Johannesburg to monitor alarms and coordinate incident responses. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Control Room Operator / Service Controller / Dispatcher in the security industry is preferred.
• Experience with CCTV monitoring and panic systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarm activations and dispatch Armed Response or technical teams.
• Log all incidents and track response units until each case is closed.
• Communicate with patrol officers, response teams, and clients.
• Use local area knowledge to guide teams.
• Monitor CCTV and report faults.
• Write accurate incident and shift handover reports.

Control Room Operator – Faerie Glen, Pretoria East - Security Industry |R8 000 to R12 000

The Company: Our client is an established tactical security and armed response provider focused on rural and semi-rural protection across Pretoria East and surrounding areas. They support local communities and businesses with alarm monitoring, armed response, patrols, and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarm activations (commercial and residential) and dispatch Armed Response or technical teams
• Log all incidents clearly and track response units until each case is closed
• Communicate by two-way radio and phone with patrol officers, response teams, management, and clients
• Use knowledge of the Pretoria East area (Pretoria East, Boschkop, Rayton, Cullinan) to guide teams to the right locations
• Monitor CCTV, panic systems, and other security equipment, and report faults to the technical team
• Write accurate incident reports and shift handover reports

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12)

• Strong dispatch and incident coordination skills
• Clear communication skills (Afrikaans & English preferred)
• Strong admin skills, attention to detail, and accurate incident logging
