About the job Contracts Manager (Contract) Midrand

Role Summary:

This role is based ona 3-year contract.Negotiate and manage group purchasing contracts in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop procurement strategies. Manage the tender and contract award process for new contracts and contract renewals.

Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Management, or equivalent.
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in a corporate procurement environment managing tender process.
  • Structuring of business transactions and advertising on the procurement strategy.
  • Solid practical experience managing tenders / RFQ etc both incoming and outgoing tenders
  • Business processes experience.
  • Advanced level of Office 365.
  • Own reliable transport to commute to work

Duties:

  • Responsible for driving the E-tender and catalog system in the organization to define and build system needs.
  • Experience in NGO / NPO space
  • Tender evaluation process and due diligence
  • Tender process documents to comply with all legal requirements.
  • Ensure that a cost-effective e-tender and catalog system is in place.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Keep abreast of business systems and new developments.
  • Manage procurement activities throughout the purchasing and supply chain.
  • Develop procurement policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Create cost savings opportunities from bulk buying, pooling of efforts, and economies of scale.
  • Reporting relevant information to management.
  • Manage a challenging customer base.
  • Frequent domestic travel to areas where member institutions are located.
