Primary Responsibilities & Duties
Main purpose of the Job:
To support the implementation and maintenance of the BidAir Cargo and Interloc Freight Services Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. The Quality Officer assists in driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Audit Management
- Plan and conduct scheduled internal audits using approved checklists.
- Document audit findings and communicate deficiencies to relevant stakeholders.
- Track corrective actions and verify closure of non-conformances.
- Prepare audit reports for management review.
- Participate in external audits and facilitate compliance with audit requirements.
Document Management and Control
- Maintain and update quality-related documents, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure controlled access to the central document library and prevent unauthorized use.
- Regularly review and archive obsolete documentation in line with company policy.
- Support staff in locating and applying the correct procedures for their roles.
- Protect company intellectual property and sensitive information from cyber threats.
Management Reporting
- Compile monthly quality statistics and compliance reports for management.
- Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Present findings and recommendations to the Manager: Quality and Security.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of quality incidents and corrective actions.
- Maintain records of all compliance activities for audit and regulatory purposes.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with internal teams and external service providers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Communicate changes in quality procedures and policies to all relevant staff.
- Encourage staff to report hazards, non-compliance, and suggest improvements.
