Responsibilities

• Compiling annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets and managing them.

• Representing at SABS committees for LPG installations.
• Managing reliability and maintenance projects.
• Providing commercial support for technical requirements.
• Overseeing technical design and execution of LPG installations.
• Reporting on CAPEX liquidations and OPEX spending.
• Leading CMMS programs and initiatives.
• Ensuring annual maintenance plans are in place.
• Ensuring re-qualification of commercial LPG bulk tanks.
• Maintaining continuous operations of all assets.

Job description

The Commercial Technical Manager, in conjunction with the operations manager and various stakeholders, is responsible for:

1. Compiling annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets and managing these budgets following final approval, ensuring monthly deviations are justified and controlled.
2. Identifying and implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
3. Writing all commercial technical specifications in line with legislation and group requirements.
4. Representing Easigas at SABS committees related to commercial LPG bulk installations and engineering.
5. Ensuring the continuous functioning of all assets and proactively managing reliability and maintenance projects.
6. Providing full commercial support for technical and engineering requirements as needed.
7. Overseeing the technical design and execution (construction) of commercial LPG installations, including new projects, upgrades, and major maintenance, in line with approved budgets, timelines, safety standards, and engineering best practices.
8. Reporting monthly on CAPEX liquidations and OPEX spending, with explanations for variances.
9. Leading and participating in CMMS programs and initiatives.
10. Ensuring an annual maintenance plan is in place, with reviews conducted monthly and quarterly.
11. Ensuring re-qualification of commercial LPG bulk tanks in accordance with the OHS Act, Regulations, SANS codes, and company standards.
12. Maintaining the continuous operation of all assets and proactively managing reliability and maintenance.
