The Commercial Technical Manager, in conjunction with the operations manager and various stakeholders, is responsible for:
- Compiling annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets and managing these budgets following final approval, ensuring monthly deviations are justified and controlled.
- Identifying and implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
- Writing all commercial technical specifications in line with legislation and group requirements.
- Representing Easigas at SABS committees related to commercial LPG bulk installations and engineering.
- Ensuring the continuous functioning of all assets and proactively managing reliability and maintenance projects.
- Providing full commercial support for technical and engineering requirements as needed.
- Overseeing the technical design and execution (construction) of commercial LPG installations, including new projects, upgrades, and major maintenance, in line with approved budgets, timelines, safety standards, and engineering best practices.
- Reporting monthly on CAPEX liquidations and OPEX spending, with explanations for variances.
- Leading and participating in CMMS programs and initiatives.
- Ensuring an annual maintenance plan is in place, with reviews conducted monthly and quarterly.
- Ensuring re-qualification of commercial LPG bulk tanks in accordance with the OHS Act, Regulations, SANS codes, and company standards.
- Maintaining the continuous operation of all assets and proactively managing reliability and maintenance.
