Civil Engineering Technologist / Engineer

Our client in Durbanville is looking for a detail‑driven Civil Engineering Technologist or Engineer with a passion for designing smarter, sustainable solutions. This role places you at the forefront of large‑scale, multi‑disciplinary projects that truly impact communities.

Responsibilities

• Design civil services for municipal, commercial and industrial developments, including preparation of relevant documentation and contract administration/monitoring.
• Produce technical deliverables for the design and implementation of roads, stormwater services, sewer services, water services, ducting services and bulk earthworks.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities and technical project specifications in line with relevant SANS codes.
• Conduct site inspections and lead site meetings.
• Prepare as‑built drawings and close‑out reports.
• Develop innovative and cost‑effective solutions to problems/challenges.
• Interact with clients.

Requirements

• B. Eng or B. Tech in Civil Engineering (Non‑negotiable).
• Must be registered as a Professional Engineering Engineer or Technologist or be eligible to register within the next 12 months.
• Minimum 5–10 years with specific municipal infrastructure design and building environment experience (pre‑requisite).
• Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Competent with Civil Designer and AutoCAD.
• Good communication and people skills.
