About the Opportunity

Africentric People Solutions, on behalf of the Legal Sector Charter Council (LSCC), invites applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the operationalisation of the LSCC's mandate, ensuring effective governance, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable implementation of the Council's strategic objectives.

The CEO will provide visionary leadership, oversee the development and execution of the LSCC's strategy, and ensure compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory frameworks.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the transformation and sustainability of the legal sector in South Africa.

Key Purpose of the Role

To lead, manage, and operationalise the LSCC's strategic and governance framework, ensuring alignment between policy, performance, and financial management.

The CEO will be accountable for the Council's overall performance, stakeholder relations, and delivery of its transformation objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of the LSCC's strategic roadmap and operational programmes.
  • Oversee policy development, performance management, and governance processes.
  • Ensure sound financial management, budgeting, and reporting in line with statutory requirements.
  • Drive human resource management and organisational development initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with government, regulatory bodies, and sector stakeholders.
  • Promote accountability, transparency, and sustainability across all Council operations.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field (postgraduate qualification advantageous).

Minimum of 10 years' senior management experience of which 5 years must be in executive management in strategy execution, governance, or programme management within public, regulatory, or professional bodies.

Proven track record in policy development, stakeholder engagement, and financial management.

Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
