Job Description

They are looking for a Channel Sales Manager to join their team. To be responsible for developing and managing relationships with channel partners, resellers to drive revenue growth for the company's IT product and solutions portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive channel sales strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new distribution and reseller partners.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners to ensure retention and growth.
  • Drive indirect sales through channel partners by providing sales support, training, and joint marketing activities.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs related to channel performance.
  • Work with internal teams (marketing, technical, finance) to develop offers and campaigns that support channel growth.
  • Provide product training and sales enablement tools to partners.
  • Ensure partners are equipped with necessary collateral and product knowledge to effectively sell.
  • Resolve channel partner issues and ensure satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and partner feedback to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis to management.
Educational Requirements
  • Matric, preferably with mathematics.
  • A tertiary qualification and/or a relevant diploma in Business Management, Commerce or Sales will be an advantage.
Experience and Skills Required
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in Sales or marketing in a senior management position within ICT sales.
  • Proven experience in channel sales or distribution management.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership within the ICT industry, with a strong knowledge of ICT products, services and market dynamics.
  • Deep knowledge of the customer and vendor landscape, including channel partner models, sales cycles and vendor relationship management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience negotiating with vendors and customers in the ICT space.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Both local and regional travelling will be required from time to time.
  • Valid Drivers License + own transport is required.
  • Strategic thinker with strong planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills across all levels including Executive.
  • Organised individual who is deadline driven with good time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Above average attention to detail.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
