Introduction

We are seeking a vigilant and responsible CCTV Officer to monitor the facility's surveillance systems and support access control functions.

This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding company assets and ensuring the safety of all personnel entering and exiting the premises.

The ideal candidate will be observant, professional, and capable of responding swiftly to security incidents while ensuring full compliance with company protocols and South African security regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• CCTV Monitoring: Monitor live CCTV feeds covering the facilities and perimeter zones. Review recorded footage to support investigations and identify security breaches. Detect and promptly report suspicious activity or non-conformance to the Security Manager.
• Personnel Searches: Conduct exit searches on female personnel in accordance with approved security procedures. Ensure all searches are carried out respectfully, discreetly, and efficiently.
• Visitor Logbook Management: Ensure accurate logging of all visitors and contractors, verifying credentials and access permissions. Monitor visitor compliance with security protocols and report any irregularities.
• Incident Reporting & Support: Report all suspicious activities or breaches, document incidents, and assist with investigations.
• Compliance & Protocol Enforcement: Ensure all monitoring and search procedures comply with legal standards and company security policies. Support the maintenance of a secure environment by strictly following safety and surveillance procedures.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• PSIRA Certification: Valid PSIRA Grade B registration in good standing.
• Surveillance Experience: Previous experience in CCTV monitoring or surveillance operations, preferably in a high-security or regulated environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating digital CCTV systems and related surveillance software. Basic computer literacy for logging activities, reviewing footage, and reporting.
• Education: Grade 12 (Matric).
