Main Purpose

Is to drive SABC’s transformation, promoting equitable practices, and building an engaged, inclusive workplace that aligns with South African legal requirements and company values.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute a BBBEE strategy to meet and improve the company’s scorecard performance, ensuring compliance with South African BBBEE regulations.
  • Design and implement employee engagement strategies to enhance morale, commitment, and retention.
  • Create and implement a robust D&I strategy, promoting an inclusive culture that respects and celebrates individual differences.
  • Coordinate and prepare for annual BBBEE verification audits, maintaining required documentation and liaising with verification agencies.
  • Chair and coordinate the Employment Equity Committee, ensuring compliance with EE reporting requirements to the Department of Labour.
  • Drive initiatives that create a culture of recognition, communication, and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Work closely with HR, Procurement, Training & Development, and other departments to align transformation, BBBEE, D&I, EE, and engagement objectives.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures that promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
  • Contract and manage the SABC’s Performance Management System with the team in accordance with the organizational policy and procedures.
  • Oversee the implementation of organizational development initiative i.e. Wellness, Employment Equity, Career Progression, Talent Management, etc.
  • Discuss and assess the training needs of team members and compile Personal Development Plans (PDP) for learning and development to implement.
Requirements
  • A National Diploma (NQF6) and/or Degree in human resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Law, or a related field. (NQF7)
  • 5-10 years of experience in transformation management, BBBEE compliance, diversity and inclusion, employment equity, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing BBBEE, D&I, and EE strategies in a corporate environment.
Knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of South African BBBEE legislation, Employment Equity Act, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Good at building relationships and influencing internal and external stakeholders to drive program success.
  • Capable of managing multiple transformation initiatives and ensuring timely delivery of results.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data to assess the impact and effectiveness of initiatives, using insights to inform decision-making and improvements.
