Our esteemed client aims to empower mining and industrial operators in the Democratic Republic of Congo while driving sustainable growth. We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Project Manager – Mining & Process Plant Projects, who will assume full accountability for the delivery of both sustaining and expansionary capital projects across a mining operation. These projects are predominantly processing plant–focused and encompass electrical, civil, and SMPP disciplines. This pivotal role is based in the Democratic Republic of Congo and requires a leader capable of managing complex, multidisciplinary projects within a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advance capital projects from concept development to commissioning and handover.
  • Develop and manage key project documentation, including:
  • Scope of Work (SOWs).
  • Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
  • Project execution strategies.
  • Prepare investment memos and business cases for executive-level approval.
  • Present project proposals and progress updates to the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Coordinate across multiple disciplines (Electrical, Civil, SMPP) and stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong governance, reporting, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, or mining engineering.
  • Minimum of 8–12 years of engineering and project management experience, including at least 5 years in mining or process plant capital projects.
  • Possesses proven experience as a Capital Project Manager within mining and/or mineral processing environments.
  • Demonstrates a strong track record of delivering process plant projects from concept through to commissioning.
  • Exhibits strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to develop robust business cases to support project decisions.
  • Experienced in managing multi‑disciplinary engineering and construction scopes across Electrical, Civil, and SMPP disciplines.
