Job description

RPO Recruitment’s client is seeking an experienced business development manager to lead its deal office in Johannesburg/Cape Town. Candidates should have relevant experience in pipeline development, soliciting and developing electricity off-take opportunities directly, bid transaction services, and client relationship management. Candidates must have a strong network and track record of successfully managing renewable energy deals and must be entrepreneurial.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 10 years related work experience and 5 years in the renewable sector
  2. Strong performance history with a postgraduate degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, engineering, or other quantitative-focused field of study
  3. Find and lead the new business development office focused on securing and managing electricity off-take contracts as well as managing and building a pipeline of opportunities for electricity sales
  4. Prepare commercial offers, lead the commercial negotiations, and secure PPAs
  5. Manage the bidding process
