About The Job
As the Business Development associate at ITM Africa, you will assist the Business Development and Training Development manager. You will provide high-quality support in a well-organized, professional manner and communicate effectively and will ensure that every project is delivered on time within budget and scope including assisting in conducting market research, developing business and marketing strategies. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. You also need to be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Business development (40%)
- You will research new business opportunities utilizing internal and external databases, directories and resources.
- You will provide recommendations for product development of most needed HR solutions in the market.
- You will follow up on action strategies to consistently optimize the business’s commercial performance.
- You will research market best practices and trends in order to secure a significant market share.
- You will update the sales pipeline.
- You will develop creative strategies to retain the clients including gathering their feedback.
- You will maintain a record of clients, referrals, prospects and proposals.
- You will assist in managing communication with clients effectively.
- You will assist with the communication among different ITM offices.
- Project management (30%)
- You will coordinate with team members, clients and partners for a flawless execution of projects.
- You will ensure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- You will follow up on project plans to track progress and meet with project team members to identify issues.
- You will create and maintain comprehensive online project documentation.
- Marketing (20%)
- You follow marketing plans.
- You will manage company’s branding and media communication activities such as newsletter, advertisements, marketing collaterals and web site.
- You will ensure company information are circulating through social media.
- You will participate in corporate events, client discussions, and conferences.
- Reporting (10%)
- You will assist with the weekly activity report to the MD.
- You will ensure submission of monthly report of pipeline and ongoing projects.
- Relations and Interactions (offices and departments)
- All department interactions across offices
Requirements
- You have a BS or BA degree in communication, management or equivalent
- 1–3 years in sales, marketing, or customer-facing roles.
- You have experience in recruitment/Industrial Psychology/Total Employment Service background (Preferred)
- You have good knowledge of MS Office
- You have excellent communication skills.
- You have prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
- You have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- You take initiative, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines efficiently.
- You have a flexible and open attitude.
- You are proficient in verbal and written English.
