About the job: Business Analyst Project Manager III
Key purpose:
As a Business Analyst, you will design organization-wide short-term and long-term solutions to prepare for the IFRS 9 Supplementary Information Schedule (IFRS 9 Schedule). You will analyze and design information systems, working with business partners to develop clear, technically sound, safe, and efficient requirements. Experience in developing database-driven applications using Microsoft .NET technologies such as Visual Studio, SQL Server, or Oracle is required.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Project management: combining traditional timelines and reporting with agile methodologies (squads and sprints).
- Managing the Supplementary Information Schedule (IFRS 9 Schedule) submissions to the South African Reserve Bank Prudential Authority (SARB PA) monthly.
- Understanding systems architecture and process flows related to IT systems.
- Banking experience, including Credit Risk, calculation of credit RWA, Banks Act Regulations, and Returns, especially in financial reporting and reconciliations of asset classes.
- Managing banking IT systems responsible for DotNetNuke operations, providing business analysis, planning, direction, and oversight for operational effectiveness.
- Updating relevant databases in the .NET Security system, including Security Manager, Enterprise Console, Web Server, SAP, Oracle, and other EDI systems.
- International banking experience is preferred, ideally industry-leading.
- Coordinating activities with the Project Management Office.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst.
- At least 3 years of recent experience in the technology industry, business development, or project management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Projects is required.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including JIRA, Pivotal Tracker, and Sprintly, is desirable.
