Job description
Staff work a hybrid schedule with 2 days/week in the office

We’re looking for a Brand and Design Coordinator who can help keep IFAW’s visual storytelling consistent, impactful, and easy for teams around the world to use. This role supports the full lifecycle of design projects—from intake and prioritisation to production, review, and delivery. As a member of the Content team, you’ll work closely with our Director of Content Marketing, our agency partners, and freelancers, as well as colleagues across IFAW.

You’ll help ensure that every visual we produce, digital or print, feels unmistakably IFAW. That means supporting others with the tools they need, reinforcing brand standards, and stepping in with hands‑on design skills when quick edits or exports are needed.

This role is also responsible for managing the IFAW Shop, coordinating directly with our merchandise vendor and the internal shop stakeholders to keep products, processes, and the shop website running smoothly.

Role and Responsibilities
Design project management
  • Manage incoming design requests from communications staff and colleagues across IFAW.
  • Coordinate timelines, feedback cycles, and deliverables between our creative agency, freelancers, and internal teams.
  • Support day‑to‑day design needs including quick Adobe exports, resizing assets, preparing files for print, and maintaining Canva templates.
  • Help ensure all design outputs follow IFAW’s brand, editorial, and ethical guidelines.
Brand stewardship
  • Work with the Director of Content Marketing to implement, uphold, and educate staff on IFAW’s brand identity.
  • Provide practical brand support to teams around the world, including reviewing materials, guiding best practice, and sharing updated resources.
  • Help maintain and organise brand assets, templates, and documentation.
IFAW Shop management
  • Serve as primary point of contact with our merchandise vendor for product updates, logistics, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate regular calls and workflow with the internal shop team.
  • Manage updates to the IFAW Shop website and oversee product launches and seasonal changes.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Skills and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in graphic design or brand project management (agency or in‑house). Print and digital strongly preferred.
  • Solid hands‑on skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and After Effects.
  • Strong understanding of brand management and visual consistency.
  • Confident using Canva and guiding others in template‑based design.
  • Experience working with global or multi‑regional teams is highly preferred.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Comfortable liaising with vendors, partners, and creative teams.
What you bring
  • An eye for detail and an instinct for what feels on‑brand.
  • A calm, solutions‑focused approach when juggling multiple deadlines.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn how our work connects across programmes and regions.
  • A collaborative, human approach to helping colleagues tell stronger stories through design.

At IFAW, we aim to create and foster a workforce that reflects and contributes to the diverse, global community in which we work to improve the lives of both animals and people. We are dedicated to fostering justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion so we actively encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds.
