In terms of the Sanlam Group Governance Policy, SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster, which is part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group.
The cluster focuses on retail products, as well as group schemes.
As a branch manager, you will be responsible for growing the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass through developing and overseeing the execution of the retail branch strategy.
Guiding, integrating, and standardising the activities, goals and objectives of various Sales Consultants in the branch, in line with the strategy.
Leading a service delivery culture and ecosystem within and outside of the branch to enable an optimal client experience.
Assuming responsibility for the successful day‑to‑day maintenance and management of the Retail branch.
Responsible for Retail branch strategy development and business planning.
Ensure retail branch sales delivery and establish and drive a service culture.
Responsible for all operational people practices relating to direct reports, in collaboration with HR (talent management, performance management, individual development and growth, resolving grievances, leave allocation, capacity management).
Monthly planning and reporting of sales and service activities in the Branch.
Identify key internal and external stakeholders (Area Managers, Business Owners, activation sites, community forums) and determine effective engagement tactics that will contribute to building and maintaining relationships.
