Job summary

A leading educational institution is seeking a Bodyshop Quality Engineer for a permanent role in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. This position requires a proven track record in quality management and engineering, with key responsibilities including developing quality control systems and promoting continuous improvement techniques. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and have a strong understanding of ISO standards. Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in a quality engineering role in OEM Body Shop environment.
  • Code 08 or higher driver’s licence with at least 2 years of driving experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of ISO9001, Six Sigma, and TS16949.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an effective quality control system for BIW assembly quality.
  • Enforce quality standards and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system.
  • Promote continuous improvement techniques with the assembly team.

Skills

CAD software (Solid-works, UG NX, Auto-Cad, CATIA, Caligo, PolyWorks)
Project Management analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
