Houston Skilled Consultancy is hiring passionate and skilled Bartenders / Baristas to join elite international cruise lines. Join a vibrant hospitality team onboard a luxury cruise ship where professionalism, creativity, and customer delight come together in a unique maritime environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including cocktails, espresso-based coffee, teas, and signature drinks.

  • Engage with international guests in a friendly, professional manner while taking drink orders and offering menu suggestions.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, beverage equipment, and storage areas in compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Monitor inventory levels of bar and café supplies and assist in restocking as needed.

  • Handle transactions accurately using POS systems.

  • Comply with cruise line policies and maritime regulations at all times.

  • Assist in themed events, parties, and special bar service occasions onboard.

  • Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of drink recipes, espresso preparation, and beverage trends.

  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Customer-focused attitude with the ability to stay professional under pressure.

  • Ability to multitask and maintain high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic arithmetic skills for handling transactions and cash.

Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience as a Bartender, Barista, or in a similar beverage service role in hotels, restaurants, cafés, or cruise lines.

  • Cruise or international hospitality experience is highly preferred but not mandatory.

  • Must be 21 years or older.

Working Hours
  • 8 to 10 hours per day (split shifts), 6 days a week.

  • Rotational shifts based on voyage schedules and onboard events.

  • Contract duration: Typically 6–9 months with renewal opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Familiarity with global beverage brands, brewing methods, and cocktail techniques.

  • Ability to adapt to international guest preferences and diverse cultural expectations.

  • Sound hygiene practices and basic knowledge of health and safety protocols.

  • Energetic personality, team spirit, and willingness to live and work in a multicultural, shipboard environment.

  • Basic computer skills to manage orders and inventory digitally.
