Job summary

A leading automotive manufacturer in South Africa is looking for an enthusiastic Industrial or Mechanical Engineering student for an internship in their Bodyshop team. This role provides hands-on experience in a strategic quality improvement project focused on enhancing vehicle quality. You will support the Bodyshop and Quality teams in conducting Process Quality Risk Assessments, engaging with multi-disciplinary teams, and contributing to defect reduction strategies. Ideal candidates should have knowledge in Mechatronics Engineering and strong MS Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and practical application of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, including the ability to present data clearly.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with employees and technical specialists.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bodyshop Process Risk Assessment (Process BI) by collecting, analysing, and categorizing process risks.
• Assist in identifying high-risk process steps relating to weld integrity and general build quality.
• Provide support in analysing defect data and customer feedback sources.
