Camelot Golf & Country Club is seeking an energetic, motivated and service-driven Associate / Assistant Golf Professional to join its Golf Operations team. Reporting directly to the Director of Golf, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the daily operation of the golf facility, with a primary focus on golf operations oversight, back shop management, and support of golf shop operations.

Responsibilities
Golf Operations
  • Assist the Director of Golf in the day-to-day operation of the golf facility.
  • Deliver a high level of service to members and guests consistent with private club standards.
  • Support the planning and execution of tournaments, leagues, clinics, and special events.
  • Monitor pace of play and ensure adherence to the Rules of Golf and club policies.
  • Act as a visible and professional presence on the golf course and practice facilities.
Back Shop Operations
  • Oversee daily back shop operations to ensure a seamless member experience.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule back shop staff.
  • Ensure proper handling, cleaning, storage, and staging of golf bags, carts, and practice areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of all staging and practice areas.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
Golf Shop Operations
  • Assist with daily golf shop operations, including customer service and point-of-sale transactions.
  • Provide product knowledge and merchandising support to enhance the retail experience.
  • Assist with inventory control, receiving, pricing, and visual merchandising.
  • Support special retail initiatives, fittings, demo days, and member promotions.
Instruction & Player Development
  • Provide individual instruction, group lessons, and clinics.
  • Assist with player development programs and junior golf initiatives.
  • Support club fitting and equipment education programs.
Staff Leadership & Professional Conduct
  • Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Assist with staff onboarding, training, and performance feedback.
  • Uphold the values, professionalism, and ethical standards of the PGA of Canada.
Administrative Support
  • Assist with operational planning, reporting, and budgeting as directed.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, service delivery, and member satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Golf.
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Member in Good Standing (Class “A”, Teaching Professional, or Apprentice actively progressing through the PGA of Canada Professional Development Program).
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of golf operations experience, preferably at a private Golf Club.
  • Strong understanding of private club culture and service expectations.
  • Proven ability to supervise and motivate seasonal and full‑time staff.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with golf management software and POS systems.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings.
Compensation

Annual salary range of $52,000 – $60,000, based on experience and qualifications.
