Our client, an international marketplace technology company headquartered in London, is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support their finance team with a blend of transactional and management accounting responsibilities. This is a hands‑on role suited to a proactive individual with strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounting processes.

This is a 3-month fully remote contract role with the possibility of going permanent.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Full ownership of transactional accounting, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Processing credit card transactions and reconciliations
• Preparing and processing bank reconciliations
• Handling accruals and prepayments
• Managing depreciation schedules
• Assisting with payroll journals and related entries
• Processing deferred revenue and revenue recognition
• Supporting month‑end close processes
• Payroll processing
• Tax compliance and coordinating with overseas external accountants
• Weekly Cashflow forecasting
• Assisting with ad‑hoc finance projects and reporting

Skills and Requirements

• Qualifications: Part‑qualified accounting or fully qualified bookkeeping qualification.
• Experience: Strong background in transactional finance with exposure to management accounting tasks
• Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in Xero is highly desirable
• Excel Skills: Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic formulas)
• Payment Systems: Experience with Stripe payments is beneficial
• Attributes: Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment
