Asphalt Plant Operator – Maidstone

We are looking for a committed and safety‑focused Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced production environment and takes pride in operating and maintaining plant safely and efficiently.

About The Role

As an Asphalt Plant Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant and reliable running of our operations. You will be responsible for completing essential inspections, maintaining static and mobile plant, and supporting overall site performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out SHE and Quality inspections, accurately recording all findings.
  • Complete inspection checklists before, during and after operations, reporting defects promptly.
  • Operate, inspect and maintain static and mobile plant for load & haul, processing and materials handling.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site.
  • Follow all Company policies, guidelines and compliance processes.
  • Work closely with colleagues on‑site to maintain smooth and efficient production.
  • Submit near‑miss reports as required by Site Management.
  • Ensure good timekeeping and maintain clean, tidy workstations.
  • Manage visitor sign‑ins and support contractor inductions where required.
Key Accountabilities
  • Safe operation of mobile and static plant.
  • Adherence to all Company procedures.
  • Maintaining plant equipment to manufacturer and Company standards.
  • Supporting safe working practices and continuous improvement of site performance.
Education & Qualifications
  • Good general education with the ability to understand and apply health, safety and quarry regulations.
  • NVQ/QCF certification in static and mobile plant operations (or willingness to work towards gaining this qualification).
