A leading equipment supplier in Kempton Park seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to provide precision work on Drive Train Components. The role includes performing mechanical maintenance, preventive actions, and achieving maintenance targets. Candidates must possess a Grade 12 or N3 Technical Qualification, a Section 13 Trade Certificate, and have 3 to 5 years of relevant drifter experience. Provides precision work on Drive Train Components relating to dismantling, building and testing of different types of units. Maintain a high level of reliability, availability, cost efficiency and performance.
Mechanical maintenance operations.
Preventive maintenance, perform corrective actions, supports planning and preparation, monitors outcome, documentation (outcome, root cause, time, improvements).
Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Achievement of maintenance targets.
Follow quality and cleanliness standards.
Communication of operational status and any deviations.
Safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements.
Continuous improvements and development on a personal and operational level.
Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification / Equivalent Qualification
Section 13 Trade Certificate (accompanied by apprenticeship contract or apprenticeship portfolio of evidence)
Basic Computer literacy
English proficiency
Relevant drifter experience (3 to 5 years)
Drifter parts identification and wearable part analysis.
