Employer description :

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency enhances and improves the health of millions of people every day through the effective regulation of medicines and medical devices underpinned by science and research.

Overview :

The purpose of the role is to ensure that MHRA has systems and MI reporting to support the People Function and Agency with employee records and transactions. Working alongside the workforce data analyst and People Systems Analyst, the role involves ensuring data and system integrity, and supporting enhancements to increase user and organisational effectiveness.

The role includes suggesting, supporting, or designing new IT solutions, modifying, enhancing, or adapting existing People systems and reports (currently Oracle Fusion, Oracle Cloud Recruiting, OBIEE, Fusion Data Intelligence tools, and Taleo Learn), and integrating new features to improve business efficiency and productivity. Supporting the workforce data analyst in maintaining data integrity, statutory report requirements, and reporting enhancements is also essential.

Responsibilities :

  1. Supporting ongoing and offline continuous improvements.
  2. Creating new positions and organisations, fixing problems, and remedying errors.
  3. Resolving system queries from end users (via Jira).
  4. Testing and managing system upgrades and new releases.
  5. Creating user documentation for People Teams and external users.
  6. Providing training support to the People team and external users.
  7. Managing People systems, including maintaining data fields, security, and user accounts.
  8. Supporting People reporting and analytics.
  9. Maintaining current baseline population data and staff information.
  10. Analyzing and interpreting People data to support business processes.
  11. Overseeing all People MI and analytics, including culture measurement.
  12. Building and deploying role-based reports via self-service dashboards.
  13. Manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets.
  14. Suggesting improvements for MI data collection.

Required experience and skills :

  • Experience managing a complex system as an administrator.
  • Experience developing SOPs and audit controls for HR processes.
  • Understanding of transactional processes.
  • Experience in a project management environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced IT skills, possibly including Excel, BI Publisher, SQL, and Oracle products.
  • Initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability.
  • Strong organizational and workload prioritization skills.

Entry requirements :

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subject.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above).
  • Applicants must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
  • Combination of qualifications and experience demonstrating the minimum foundation may be considered.
  • International qualifications require official documentation comparing them to UK standards.
