The Pebbles Academy, situated in the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in Hermanus, invites dynamic and passionate teachers to apply for the position of Afrikaans Home Language Teacher for Grades 4 to 7.

Position Requirements
  • 2 years Teaching Experience
  • Tertiary Qualification in Education
  • Experience teaching Afrikaans Home Language in the Intermediate and Senior Phases
  • SACE Registered
  • Excellent communication skills and a love for language and children
  • Energetic, creative, and committed to quality education
  • Can contribute positively to the culture and values of the school
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Fluent written / spoken English and Afrikaans
  • Excellent computer, administration and organisational skills
Responsibilities include, but not limited to
  • Planning and presenting engaging, high-quality Afrikaans Home Language lessons.
  • Assessment, reporting, and record-keeping.
  • Participation in school activities and academic support where needed.
  • Promoting a supportive and motivating learning environment.
