The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making.

This role involves overseeing daily accounting functions, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring statutory compliance.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently while supporting management with accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders
  • Monitor expenses and identify cost‑saving opportunities
  • Support management with financial analysis and reporting
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional accounting qualification (SAIPA / SAICA / CIMA – advantageous)
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Pastel, Xero, or similar)
