A maritime operations company in Singapore is seeking a candidate to manage ship operations effectively. Responsibilities include negotiating competitive shipping rates, ensuring timely tanker operations, and preparing vessels for loading and discharging. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in a relevant field and two years of experience, though fresh graduates are also welcome. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in chartering, ship operations, or post-fixture roles preferred; fresh graduates are welcome.
- Understanding of commercial and operational aspects of ship or tanker operations is advantageous.
- Sailing experience or exposure to maritime operations is a plus.
Responsabilités
- Obtain and compare quotations from shipping agents and negotiate competitive rates.
- Monitor tanker movements and liaise with agents to ensure timely operations.
- Arrange pilotage for inward, berthing, unberthing, and outward vessel passages.
- Prepare and instruct vessels for loading and discharging operations.
- Report vessel operational status to charterers and follow up with customers on payments.
