Job summary

A prominent energy company based in Singapore is looking for a Technical Superintendent responsible for overseeing technical and safety matters of vessels. This role requires previous experience in ship management operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. The ideal candidate will hold a COC Class 1 or 2 and possess sailing experience on oil tankers. This position offers opportunities for career growth and is committed to providing equal opportunities to all staff.

Qualifications

  • COC Class 1 or 2 holders with sailing experience on oil tankers.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Technical Superintendent.
  • Preferred: Foreign going Chief Engineer with sea experience.

Responsibilities

  • Superintendent of all technical and safety matters concerning Company vessels.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance of vessels.
  • Negotiate with Class Surveyors regarding vessel surveys.
  • Advise the Master and Chief Engineer on maintenance work.
  • Examine vessel machinery for cleanliness and maintenance progress.
  • Conduct damage surveys on vessels.
  • Supervise repairs and restoration of vessels as needed.
  • Prepare additional proposals for regulatory compliance.
  • Act as liaison officer and trainer for Cadet officer.
