We are a proprietary trading firm focused on high-frequency intraday strategies in the U.S. stock markets. Backed by a profitable foundation and newly raised external capital, we're expanding into multi-strategy trading. To support this, we are building internal platforms for research, execution, and data-driven innovation.

We're looking for a senior engineer to lead the technical execution of this infrastructure buildout. You’ll work closely with the founding team and take ownership of planning, coordinating, and delivering the core systems—while mentoring junior engineers on implementation details.

This is a hands-on role for a strong builder who enjoys both designing systems and ensuring they get shipped, not a senior management or people-lead position. As the platform scales, this role has the potential to evolve into a Technical Lead or Head of Infrastructure, owning more strategic responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

1. Own the implementation of three core internal platforms:
1. A low-latency automated trading bot (C#, broker API integrated)
2. A high-performance backtesting system (Python or R)
3. A centralized, reusable factor library
2. Collaborate directly with founders to define roadmap and delivery priorities
3. Define technical milestones, break down goals into actionable tasks, and mentor junior engineers through implementation
4. Review code, establish best practices, and ensure alignment between architecture and performance goals
5. Work across frontend, backend, and data layers as needed to ship usable tools

Requirements

1. Strong experience in C#, especially for real-time systems or broker integration
2. Comfort with Python for data processing, strategy testing, and backtesting
3. Experience designing and shipping backend systems with REST APIs, WebSockets, and modular architecture
4. Database knowledge (PostgreSQL preferred) for storing large time-series or strategy data
5. Familiarity with version control workflows (Git, GitHub/GitLab)
6. Nice to have: exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or any cloud deployment
7. Proven experience leading technical teams or driving project delivery within small, high-performance teams
8. Bonus: experience with trading infrastructure, broker APIs, or quant systems
