Student Learning Experience Specialist

Location: Singapore

About the Role

The Student Learning Experience Specialist plays a key role in delivering a holistic, high-quality student journey at Pickering Institute. This role focuses on student engagement, community building, accommodation management, and end-to-end learning experience coordination, ensuring students are well supported academically, socially, and personally.

The role also requires overseas travel to engage directly with students and parents, particularly in regional markets, and to support our overseas teaching centres and student communities.

Key Responsibilities

Student Experience & Community Engagement

  • Plan, organise, and manage student community activities, enrichment programmes, orientations, and student-led initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive student culture across onshore and offshore learning environments.
  • Act as a primary liaison for student experience and wellbeing matters.

Student Learning Journey Management

  • Support students throughout their full learning journey, from onboarding and transition to progression and retention.
  • Work closely with academic and operations teams to identify student needs and coordinate timely support.
  • Gather and analyse student feedback to continuously enhance student experience quality.

Student Hostel & Accommodation Coordination

  • Manage and coordinate student accommodation arrangements, including hostels and student residences.
  • Liaise with accommodation providers to ensure safety, service standards, and student wellbeing.
  • Handle accommodation-related enquiries, feedback, and issue resolution.

Overseas Engagement & Stakeholder Relations

  • Travel overseas to meet students and parents, supporting relationship management, student welfare, and communications.
  • Represent the Institute in overseas teaching centres, student events, and engagement activities.
  • Work closely with overseas partners to ensure consistent student experience delivery.

Internal & External Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Academic, Admissions, Marketing, Operations) to align student experience initiatives.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers related to student services and accommodation.
  • Support compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements relating to student support.

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of student engagement activities and accommodation arrangements.
  • Prepare reports on student satisfaction, engagement metrics, and service outcomes.
  • Support audits, reviews, or quality assurance processes where required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in student services, education operations, business support, hospitality, or pastoral care.
  • Fluent in both English, Mandarin (written and spoken) and Cantonese; ability to communicate professionally with students and parents.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel overseas to meet students, parents, and partner institutions.
  • Strong organisational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Experience in managing student activities, accommodation, or community engagement is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
