Overview

The Executive / Senior Executive supports the Singapore Sports Museum’s redevelopment and ongoing programme delivery. The role contributes to the planning and coordination of the Museum’s revamp, including content development, research, and supporting the reimagining of the Museum’s future storyline and visitor experience. It also assists in the development of precinct-based heritage touchpoints across The Kallang, ensuring that selected artefacts and interpretive elements are appropriately placed and contextually aligned.

In addition, the role supports the design and implementation of placemaking initiatives and community engagement activities that enhance the cultural visibility and vibrancy of The Kallang. The position requires strong organisation and coordination skills, attention to detail, and an interest in museum work, arts, culture, heritage, and community engagement.

Roles & Responsibilities
Museum Revamp Planning, Coordination and Programmes
  • Assist in planning, coordination, and delivery of the Singapore Sports Museum revamp, including content research, storyline development, visitor journey and project documentation.
  • Support exhibition and programme planning through research, drafting of interpretive materials, and coordination with internal teams and external partners.
  • Manage administrative and logistical tasks related to meetings, working groups, and project timelines.
Precinct-Based Heritage Touchpoints
  • Support the development and placement of light-touch heritage elements within The Kallang, including interpretive content and artefact placement planning.
  • Conduct research and prepare contextual information to ensure heritage touchpoints are accurate and meaningful.
  • Coordinate with designers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
Placemaking & Community Activation
  • Assist in conceptualising and delivering small-scale placemaking initiatives, community art projects, and activations that highlight sports culture and heritage.
  • Support the design and delivery of public programmes such as workshops, talks, school activities, and community engagement sessions.
  • Work with partners, creatives, and community groups to co-develop engagement opportunities across the precinct.
Stakeholder & Cross-Team Coordination
  • Liaise with government agencies, schools, cultural partners, and internal departments to support collaboration and outreach.
  • Coordinate with Marketing & Communications on publicity materials and programme-related content.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Documentation
  • Support data collection, feedback analysis, and reporting for programmes and initiatives.
  • Maintain organised records, project files, and content archives for institutional memory.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Arts Management, Museum Studies, History, Social Sciences, Education, Events/Arts Administration, Communications, or related fields.
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in museums, cultural institutions, heritage, arts programming, community engagement, or related areas.
  • Interest in museum work, arts, culture, heritage, and community engagement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear and engaging content.
  • Good organisational and project coordination abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
