We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Junior Data Scientist to join our research team. This role involves both research and implementation, with a strong emphasis on data processing, ad-hoc analysis, and backtesting for trading ideas. You will also work closely with senior quants and portfolio managers to apply machine learning and deep learning techniques in the development and enhancement of trading strategies.

• Process, clean, and transform large, multi-source financial datasets.
• Perform ad-hoc quantitative analysis to support trading, research, and portfolio management decisions.
• Conduct rigorous backtesting and performance attribution for new and existing strategies.
• Create clear and insightful visualizations to communicate research findings, model results, and strategy performance.
• Assist in feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and validation processes.
• Collaborate with senior researchers to design, implement, and optimize ML/DL models for trading signal generation.
• Document research processes, experiment results, and strategy performance metrics.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong Python programming skills (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools and libraries (Matplotlib, Plotly, Seaborn, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts; familiarity with deep learning architectures preferred.
• Experience with time-series analysis and backtesting frameworks is a plus.
• Good knowledge of data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation for financial datasets.
• Understanding of basic trading concepts, market microstructure, or portfolio construction is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
