Job summary
A maritime management company in Singapore is seeking a qualified Chief Engineer to oversee technical maintenance and ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations. The ideal candidate will manage maintenance plans, budgets, and vessel performance, and must have prior experience as a Chief Engineer on Bulk or Container vessels. Fresh graduates with a Diploma in Maritime Studies are welcomed to apply. This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a dynamic maritime environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma and above in Maritime Studies or a relevant discipline.
- Fresh Chief Engineers are welcome to apply.
- COC Class 1 Certified.
- Must have sailed as a Chief Engineer on Bulk/Container vessels.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of technical maintenance, budget control, planning and safety of the vessels.
- Manage ship maintenance plans.
- Ensure vessels comply with statutory safety regulations.
- Organize and monitor all activities connected to class and flag state requirements.
- Monitor vessels performance and implement remedial actions when required.
- Control budgets for assigned vessels.
Skills
Education

- Organize, monitor and execute all activities connected to class and flag state and certificate requirements.
