The candidate should have a good degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years of supervisory experience within large-scale projects, particularly in water treatment. Role:

Resident Engineer (Mechanical) - Water Treatment Infrastructure - Navsar Global is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Resident Engineer with a strong mechanical background to join our client's critical infrastructure project – the Choa Chu Kang Waterworks (CCKWW) in Singapore. This is a significant 5-year contract opportunity for a leader in mechanical site supervision within the water treatment sector.

This is a 5-year contract position, offering long-term engagement on a vital national infrastructure project.

About the Project:

The Choa Chu Kang Waterworks (CCKWW) is a cornerstone of Singapore's water infrastructure, playing an essential role in ensuring a sustainable and high-quality water supply for the nation. This project involves substantial upgrades and expansions, presenting a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally important initiative and work with cutting-edge water treatment technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the on-site supervision team for all mechanical and associated building construction works, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Provide expert mechanical engineering support to the Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager, addressing all mechanical site inspection issues, contractual matters, and leading defect identification and rectification processes.
  • Review, assess, and provide timely responses to Contractor's RFIs and technical submittals, including the evaluation of method statements, instrumentation readings, and coordination with other discipline engineers, the design team, and Qualified Persons (QPs) from HQ.
  • Actively participate in and lead technical discussions during all site and project-related meetings with clients and contractors, driving progress and collaboratively resolving engineering challenges.
  • Ensure robust quality control and assurance throughout the project lifecycle for all mechanical installations and systems.
  • Foster a collaborative, productive, and high-performance environment within the site supervision team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • A good graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
  • Approximately 10 years of progressive experience in supervising mechanical works within large-scale infrastructure projects, with a strong and demonstrable focus on water or used water treatment works.
  • Mandatory: Valid registration with the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and/or the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality control, and safety standards relevant to mechanical installations in complex water treatment facilities.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and proactively address site challenges.
