Assistant Nurse Manager/ Nurse Manager - SANH(Queenstown)
Job summary
A nursing home provider in Singapore seeks a Nurse Manager to lead a team ensuring safe and high-quality care for residents. The ideal candidate will oversee care delivery, manage nursing staff, and ensure compliance with all nursing standards from the Ministry of Health. This position requires at least 4 years of management experience in nursing and registration with the Singapore Nursing Board. Opportunities for staff development and a supportive team environment are also emphasized in this role.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of clinical or management experience as Nurse Manager.
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
- Lead quality assurance activities to evaluate nursing care.
- Ensure compliance of nursing practices with Ministry of Health (MOH) standards.
- Facilitate staff development and training opportunities.
Skills
Education
Lead the team to provide safe, high quality, efficient and cost effective care is deliver to residents and their families
- Oversee the team of registered and enrolled nurses, nursing aides, healthcare assistants and healthcare attendants. This may include oversight of multi-disciplinary care providers such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, medical social workers and others
- Responsible for compliance of all nursing standards as stipulated by Ministry of Health (MOH) and Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
- Lead quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care. Ensures quality audits are planned and conducted periodically. Follow up with areas for corrective improvements
- Promote evidence-based practices or nursing care delivery
- Ensure written policies and procedures and work process are available and up to date to guide the nursing care delivery
- Ensure the smooth transition of residents from acute to chronic care and back to the community, where possible
- Direct care of the residents to ensure compliance to standards
- Ensure appropriate skills mix and adequate manpower resourcing for all shifts and types of services.
- Direct and facilitate staff development, skills and competency upgrading through various opportunities. These may include formal education, in-house training or approved online learning programmes
- Guide orientation/induction programmes and preceptorship for all new staff
- Support the Director of Nursing in nursing home management and deputizes in her absence
- Advanced Diploma / Degree in Nursing
- At least 4 years of clinical or management experience as Nurse Manager
- Nursing Home experience preferred
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certify
- Working Days: Monday - Friday, Saturday once a month based on rostering
