A leading materials company in Singapore seeks a Polymer Scientist to focus on membrane surface modification and development. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience with hollow fiber membranes and equipment operation skills. Fluency in English and Chinese is required. A Polymer Scientist in membrane surface modification and characterization, due to current expansion, we are looking for an expert for Material Research Development. The main focus is developing the current high-performance hollow fiber membrane using super hydrophilic nano materials into PMP/PVDF membrane products that fit our clients requirements in healthcare and water treatment applications.
Work with internal teams to develop high-performance commercial membrane products for healthcare, battery and water treatment applications.
Fabricate PVDF, PMP, and PES hollow fiber membrane using NIPs and TIPs.
Operate 3D printer, SEM, FE-SEM, TEM, XPS, AFM and dynamic contact angle for nano/quantum surface modification and characterization. Operate dynamic two phases potting system.
Join collaborator meetings and design reviews when needed.
Deliver detailed process engineering/commercial documents and reports.
Support sample test, commissioning, site work, inspections, and O&M activities.
Stay updated on nano and quantum technologies and industry standards.
Degree in Chemistry and Chemical and Material Engineering.
At least 5 years of hand-on experience in the field of PVDF, PMP, and PES hollow fiber membrane (NIPs or TIPs) and hydrophilic/hydrophobic membrane surface modification.
Experience in commissioning and skid-based system design.
AI and molecular dynamic simulation knowledge or background is a plus.
Familiar with industry nano material membrane standards.
Good spoken and written English and Chinese.
Approved track record such as publications, patent etc.
Willing to travel and work in multicultural teams.
Depending on track record and experience, monthly salary is between S$3900 to S$7500. With Performance bonus and output between 0-2.5 months. For Non-Singapore Citizen /PR, for exceptional candidate with strong track record will be eligible for S-Pass or E-Pass.
