Product Engineer
Job summary
A technology company located in Singapore is seeking a candidate for a role focusing on product engineering processes. Responsibilities include establishing standard operating procedures, conducting analyses to improve yields, and liaising with customers on new product specifications. A degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering is essential, and familiarity with testing technologies is an advantage. Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred for communication with clients.
Qualifications
- Ability to converse in Mandarin to communicate with Chinese counterparts.
- Experience with all relevant technologies will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Establish standard operating instructions for product engineering.
- Conduct Failure Mode Effectiveness Analysis (FMEA).
- Review and analyze test yields and improve yield performance.
- Perform device/hardware tester qualification and issue reports.
- Support manufacturing operations on technical issues.
- Liaise with customers on new production specifications.
- Coordinate device start up and transfer.
Skills
Education
- To establish standard flow / operating instructions for the following:
- Product Engineering process
- Manufacturing process in testing floor.
- Conduct Failure Mode Effectiveness Analysis (FMEA) - Product Maintenance
- Review and analyze test yields
- Yield Improvement - Identify and resolve issues impacting yield performance
- Determine hold lot disposition - Perform device / hardware tester qualification / Correlation and the issuance of the associated reports
- Develop and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Support manufacturing operations on technical issues relating to device testing
- Liaise with customers on new production specifications
- New Product Introduction (NPI) - Coordinate device start up and transfer
- Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- It will be an added advantage if you are familiar with all or any of the following:
- Wafer sort test
- Prober operations (TSK or OPUS)
- Tester platforms (U-FLEX, J750, Verigy 93K, Magnum or Advantest Tester)
- Good at Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/Power point and report skill
- Applicants must be able to converse in Mandarin to communicate with our Chinese counterparts
- Graduate with relevant industrial attachment will be considered
