Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor. The role involves managing project costs, conducting feasibility studies, and preparing contract documents. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Strong leadership and communication skills in both English and Mandarin are essential. This position offers the opportunity to lead a team in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• Extensive M&E Subcon QS background, especially in Electrical works.
• At least 6 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying.

Job description

Job responsibilities

• Ensure project meet legal and quality standards
• Manages project costing from early design plans until the completion of project
• Carry out feasibility studies to estimate materials,time and labour costs
• Negotiate and draw up bids for tenders and contracts
• Prepare tender and contract documents for submissions and interviews, including bill of quantities,prepare quotation and cost estimates.
• source for required materials and vendors, handle interim progress claim, variation of sub-contractor progress claim and variation order.
• Able to liaise with consultants/customers
• Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors in pre-contract or post-contract and procurement administration of fast-track projects

Job requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• A leader who is mature, with good attitude and able to take stress
• Extensive M&E Subcon QS back ground, especially in Electrical works
• At least 6 years’ experience with ability to take-off and quantify from drawings
• able to read and write English and Mandarin proficiently ( to build rapport across
  the organization and provide advice to mandarin speaking line manager and staff.)
