Senior Design Engineer
Job summary
A civil engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead design projects. Responsibilities include team leadership, client communication, and mastering local regulations. Proficiency in engineering software and design practices is essential. Ideal candidates will have experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete design.
Qualifications
- Experience in Structural Steel design, Reinforced Concrete design, and Geotechnical Engineering.
- Ability to lead a team of Engineers and drafters.
- Familiarity with preparing Authorities Submission documents.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in Civil Engineering design.
- Work under tight schedules.
- Communicate with clients and authorities.
Skills
Tools
- Experience in Civil Engineering Design works in the area of:
- Structural Steel design
- Reinforced Concrete design
- Geotechnical Engineering Design
- Able to lead the team of Engineers and drafters
- Able to work under rushing schedule of works
- Able to do AutoCAD drafting (if required)
- Familiarize with preparation of Authorities Submission documents (BCA, URA, JTC, SCDF, PUB etc..)
- Able to communicate with clients and Authorities
- Well-versed in local code of practice, authorities’ regulations for submission.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as STAAD-Pro, PLAXIS, Prokon, ETABs, TEKLA, MIDAS and SAFE etc.
