Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm in Singapore is seeking a Legal Counsel to draft and negotiate contracts and provide legal advice on commercial issues. The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Law and 4 to 7 years of experience, particularly in construction law. Responsibilities include handling company setups and coordinating with external legal advisers. The role offers a salary range of $5,500 to $7,000, negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years’ post-qualification experience, with knowledge of construction law.
• Experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and documents.

• Coordinate with external legal counsels and oversee their work.

Overview

Legal Counsel — Location: Boon Lay; Working Days: Monday- Friday, 5 days; Working hours: 8am to 530pm; Salary: ($5,500-7,000) Open to Negotiation

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other documents; and render legal advice
• Provide legal advice and support to the group of companies on a broad range of commercial issues
• Handle the setting up of subsidiaries, associates, branches and project offices as well as the closing or liquidation of such set up
• Coordinate with external legal counsels and consultants as well as oversee the progress of their work
• Coordinate with and advise business units and departments on legal matters
• Any other duties to be assigned from time to time

Prerequisites

• Degree in Law
• 4 to 7 years’ post-qualification experience, with knowledge of construction law and/or with experience in the construction industry
• Willing to travel when required
