Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the full spectrum of cost and contract administration for construction, ACMV, and M&E projects. The ideal candidate will prepare cost estimates, evaluate tenders, conduct cost analysis, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Candidates must have a diploma or degree in a related field and 5–8 years of relevant experience, along with strong analytical and communication skills. This role includes leading junior staff and working closely with project management teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction / M&E / ACMV projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and cost control principles.
  • Able to work independently and lead a small team effectively.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our project team. The ideal candidate will manage the full spectrum of cost and contract administration for construction, ACMV, and M&E projects, ensuring value, compliance, and profitability throughout each project’s lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and manage cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for projects.
  • Evaluate tender submissions, negotiate with subcontractors, and make recommendations for award.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and value engineering to optimize project costs.
  • Prepare and manage progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, drawings, and specifications.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to monitor project cost performance and control expenses.
  • Prepare cash flow projections and assist in project financial reporting.
  • Provide advice on contractual and commercial matters throughout project execution.
  • Lead and mentor junior QS staff to ensure quality and efficiency in work delivery.
Qualifications:
